Leona Lewis is to make her first big screen appearance in forthcoming film Holiday.

The flick will be part of the StreetDance series and it will take influence from musicals.

Other names due to feature in the film include Katy Brand and Annabel Scholey, with songs such as Madonna's 'Holiday' and 'Wake Me Up Before You Go Go' by Wham set to be given a musical makeover.

Producers have called the movie a "classic feel good love story" and it will be directed by Max & Dania.

Lewis tweeted earlier this month about working on a film project, revealing: "Just wrapped for the day! So excited for you guys to see this, such great moments being captured. Lucky to work with amazingly talented ppl."

She also shared photos on Instagram of what looked like filming on a beach.
