Liam Gallagher posts a tweet that says 'OASIS'

British musician Liam Gallagher sent fans into a frenzy online this evening (April 24) after sharing five public tweets each containing a letter that makes up his former band's name, Oasis.

He posted the Twitter updates tonight (which can be seen below) and hasn't yet offered any insight into if there's any meaning behind it, but back in June 2013 he teased that a potential reunion could happen one day if the stars aligned:

"Without being f**king hippy, it'll happen when it'll happen. If the musical gods want it to happen. If it does happen, we'll be match-fit."

Gallagher's current band, Beady Eye, pulled out of their Coachella performance slots back in February so speculation about the possible reunion of Oasis has been growing since then. Liam has since returned to the social networking site and shared another message, which simply reads: "OASIS LG."

His brother, Noel Gallagher, is notably absent from Twitter at the moment although he did retweet an article about fantasy football on April 11.
