Bookmaker suspends betting on Oasis to play Glastonbury

A British bookmaker has stopped taking bets on Oasis playing at this year's Glastonbury Festival.

Fans of the dormant group were sent into a confused state of frenzy last night (April 24) when singer Liam Gallagher tweeted the word 'OASIS' and 'OASIS LG'.

It is still unclear what the tweets means - if anything - but it has prompted Ladbrokes to suspend betting on the group playing Glastonbury.

A spokesperson said: "Liam Gallagher’s decision to indulge in some spelling has seen the odds on Oasis headlining the Saturday at Glasto suspended."

The group split in 2009 after brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher had a fall out before a gig in France.

Back in June last year, however, Liam teased that a potential reunion could happen one day if the stars aligned:

"Without being f**king hippy, it'll happen when it'll happen. If the musical gods want it to happen. If it does happen, we'll be match-fit."

Oasis meanwhile are due to release a 20th anniversary re-issue of 'Definitely Maybe' in May.
