Liam Gallagher is to launch a lawsuit against the New York Post after they claimed he is the father of a secret love child.

The US newspaper say they have been told the Beady Eye frontman - who is married to All Saints' Nicole Appleton (pictured below) - is the father of a 7-month-old child in the States.

They claim the mother is New York journalist Liza Ghorbani, who interviewed the British singer in 2010 before having an affair with him. The paper says she wants to take $3m legal action against Gallagher to cover paternity costs.

The allegations haven't sat well with the musician, with his spokesman stating:

"Liam Gallagher's lawyers are taking legal action against New York Post – further to that we don't comment on gossip such as this."

Gallagher is the father of three children - Molly, 15, Lennon, 13 and Gene, 12.
