Lily Allen to tone down stage show at husband's request

Lily Allen has revealed that she will make her stage actions more family-friendly after getting a slap on the wrist from her husband.

The singer has two children - Ethel, two, and Marnie, 15 months - with hubby Sam Cooper.

However, she told The Sun that rude stage gestures will be off the menu in the coming months when Allen returns to touring.

This is because Cooper believes that his wife should "tone down" her antics because she is a mother.

Allen said: "He's told me to tone it down now I'm a mum. On my last tour, when I sang 'Not Fair', I used to act out using my microphone. Recently I have been rehearsing for this new tour and Sam said, 'You're not doing that thing again are you?'. I said not if he didn't want me to. And he said no as he didn't think it's good for the kids'."

The lyrics meanwhile for 'Not Fair' read: "Oh I lie here in the wet patch/in the middle of the bed/I'm feeling pretty damn hard done by/I spent ages giving head."

Allen meanwhile will play London's Shepherd's Bush Empire on April 28 and Aberdeen's Music Hall on May 23.
