Lily Allen: 'I'm really inspired and influenced by strong women'

'Smile' sensation Lily Allen has revealed that women constantly inspire her and she is very proud to have a close circle of female family members and friends that she can look up to and take advice from.

During an interview with Germany's Cosmopolitan magazine, the hitmaker explained that she is always influenced by strong women either making names for themselves in the entertainment industry or making an impact on her personal life.

Allen admitted to the publication that it's empowering to be surrounded by so many great women: "There are so many! A lot of artists and other singers like Rihanna, Lorde and Lady Gaga - I'd love to collaborate with them. Then there's my mum, my sister, my friends... I am very proud of them."

She went onto add that her song 'Hard Out Here' is a fantastic feminist anthem and she's really proud of it: "That song shows my side of things. These days, many women are still being treated unfairly - at work, in their relationships and the media. That has to change!"
