Lily Allen to foot huge police bill for wedding

'Smile' singer Lily Allen has revealed that she will foot a pricey police bill to ensure that members of the public and the paparazzi don't intrude on her wedding next week.

Speaking exclusively to Ahlanlive.com, she explained that the bill will enforce a rule that means only invited guests and residents of the area will be allowed near the ceremony, which is set to take place at St. James the Great church in Gloucestershire:

"Ahh yes, the police shutting down the roads. It’s caused a bit of an uproar at home. The village is fine with it, it was just the Daily Mail readers up in arms saying why are we paying our taxes for her to be protected like the royals."

She added that it's not for her benefit, but for the people who live in the village as she knows how out of hand the situation could potentially get when she ties the knot to fiance Sam Cooper on June 11:

"Actually I’m paying a vast amount of money myself, it’s all off duty police officers who are going to be paid over time. It’s not like we demanded they close the roads down. The only reason I did it was for the residents otherwise there will be a million photographers driving up and down the roads. It’s not really for me."
