The singer, who now goes by the married name of Lily Rose Cooper, told Capital FM that her influences have changed since the last time she was making music.

The Brit is currently working on the follow-up to 2009's 'It's Not You, It's Me' following time out mothering and starting a fashion business.

However, her new tunes look set to have a different sound to her previous material. Cooper said:

"I wouldn't say it's been easy but it hasn't been hard – it's just been different because my pool of inspiration is just so different to what it was eight, nine, ten years ago."

Cooper added that despite having two young children, she isn't the type to rest on her laurels and devote all her time to family. She said:

"I think five years ago what I really really wanted to do was have kids and I've had two kids now and as much as I love that I'm never going to be the type of person that sits at home all day playing with plastic toys and watching Peppa Pig."

Writing on the social networking site, she explained: "Donate and I'll name my pig after you, send you pictures and then bacon and sausages. Ok, can I change my mind and make it 'pick at random' instead of 'highest bidder' or will I get done for false advertising."

"Following on from last night, if you join my #twittermillion team and or donate to my page ,I will pick at random 1 person and name one of my pigs after them, i will also send them some sausages once the pig has reached its end."

She was then met with angry tweets from animal rights campaigners and vegetarians, and tried to quiet them by explaining the pigs were bred to be slaughtered and it isn't just a charity gimmick:

"Just want to clear something up, I am NOT slaughtering a pig for charity, our pigs were always going to be slaughtered, and eaten. I genuinely just want to help a good cause. sorry if I have offended anyone, but I have never claimed to be a vegitarian. ps, our pigs are kept in lovely conditions and live happy piggy lives."

The star has been largely inactive in the music scene since announcing her hiatus from performing in 2009.

However, she revealed last year that she had returned to the studio - and the singer made a guest appearance alongside Professor Green as the rapper supported The Stone Roses in Manchester in the summer.

She has now performed solo for the first time in a number of years at Paris Fashion Week at the Etam show, which was directed by Mark Ronson.

Allen - who now goes by her married name of Lily Cooper - performed her 2006 song 'Smile'.

She was watched from the audience by husband Sam Cooper and two month old daughter Marnie.

The 'Kiss You' star is currently on the top of the world as his group dominate the worldwide pop scene, with Styles becoming a global heartthrob in the process.

Speaking to the Daily Star, however, Lily Allen - who now goes by her married name of Lily Cooper - warned the singer that the fickle nature of fame could mean that he will be forgotten about in a few years. She said:

"Look at you now, Harry – everybody wants a piece of you. Enjoy it while you can. In a few years no - one will recognise you, like me."

It seems difficult to predict, however, that Styles could disappear from the limelight in the next few years.

Pop star Boy George recently stated that he believes the singer will be the first to jump ship from One Direction and fly solo.

The star attended the glitzy bash at London's O2 Arena but the singer revealed on Twitter that she was almost too late.

It was a case of one thing after another for the embattled star, who now goes by her married name of Lily Rose Cooper. She tweeted:

"Dear #BRITs2013 I am running v.late, please do start without me."

Referring perhaps to a tweet she made on a day before (February 19) about leaking nipples, Cooper - who recently gave birth for a second time - then added: "Was en route but despite numerous reminders forgot nipple pads, had to turn around. #BRITs2013 #carryon."

Cooper then revealed that she thought the BRITs were being held at traditional venue Earls Court, adding: "Oh according to my driver the #BRITs2013 are no longer at Earls Court, this should only delay me by another hour or so. #whoops."

The singer made it in time, however, with Tinie Tempah later uploading a photo of the pair online.

The 'Smile' hitmaker, who gave birth to her second child (daughter Marnie Rose) on January 8, took to her social networking page this afternoon (January 14) and expressed concern over Marnie's well-being while discussing the way that support systems for mothers work in the UK:

"So after speaking to the Brent midwifery team at 7 this morning, I was told to stay in all day and someone would be over to weigh my baby and do a jaundice assessment as I've been a bit worried. Waited all day, and nothing, not even a phone call. She'll be a week old tomorrow."

"Don't mean to moan and I know how over stretched the health service is. But I can't help but think about how mothers with less support, both financially and emotionally are meant to cope. What if I was having real problems. I haven't been able to get an answer on the phone."

She added: "I know it's not the midwives themselves' fault, they are generally angels but surely we can do better than this."

The media reported this morning (January 10) that Allen, who is now going by her married name of Lily Cooper, gave birth to a girl on Tuesday (January 8) called Marnie Rose.

Cooper has now given the strongest indication yet that the stories are true, taking to Twitter to say:

"Quite overwhelmed by all the well wishing going on. THANKYOU everybody x x x."

Responding later to TV and radio's Lauren Laverne on the subject of resting, the singer said:

"Yeah right! Can't uncross my eyes. Unique mixture of tiredness and strong painkillers."

Cooper gave birth to her first child Ethel in November 2011.

The 50-year-old took to Twitter to reveal the names of his two new sons Gene Clark and George Christopher.

Using his wife’s Twitter account he wrote: “Mani here, we have had two gorgeous boys today, Gene Clark & George Christopher, many thanks for the well wishes, love n peace to all."

Lily Allen – now known by her married name Lily Cooper retweeted the message to all her 3,873,101 followers.

The Stone Roses bassist knew about the twins’ arrival before the band's comeback gigs in Manchester's Heaton Park last summer but kept the news under wraps.

The reformed Manchester legends announced three UK shows for 2013 in October.

They are set to play two nights in London's Finsbury Park on June 7 and 8 followed by a single show at Glasgow Green on June 15.

Primal Scream, Jake Bugg and The View are in the line-up as supporting acts.

Tweeting about the cover, she exclaimed: "Jesus h Christ, who dun that TLC cover?"

Stooshe then caught sight of the tweet and publicly replied, telling her it was their new single: "us and @FutureCut.. U know the guys who made your 1st record :) xx"

The all-girl trio later returning to the social networking site and added: "Not nice when artists you are heavily inspired by and even compared to, criticise you.... #IfYouGotNothingNiceToSay....."

Future Cut also noticed the message and told Allen: "that's why we love you! Still brutally honest x"

The pair traded blows back in 2007 after Cole called Allen, now named Lily Rose Cooper, a "chick with a dick".

The 'Fear' singer retorted in acerbic style, mocking Cole's apparent use of auto-tune and "sexy" stage routine.

Speaking to The Sun, Cooper said that whilst she doesn't regret anything she has said in the past, she feels it is probably wise to concentrate more on her family than involving herself in a tittle-tattle battle.

She added that she still receives grief from fans of Cheryl Cole due to her role in the feud. The singer said:

"When I first started out in my career, I made quite a lot of controversial statements. I don't regret anything I've ever said because it's all part of growing up and I believed it at the time. I might have said a certain pop group were a bad influence on girls but now I think it's probably more my responsibility to deal with my daughter rather than a band."

Cooper continued: "I said something about Cheryl Cole years ago and her fans are still giving me a hard time on Twitter. But as you get older, you gain more knowledge. So when I get abuse from Cheryl Cole fans now, I don't take it to heart, because they're 12, so it doesn't matter, and in a way I find it quite sweet that these kids feel that passionately about someone. I used to talk about being thin enough and pretty enough and I don't care about that now, but I think that's just part of growing up."

The hitmaker has shared a series of strongly-worded posts via her official Twitter page over the past 24 hours and it's thought that her remarks were the result of a proposal by Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt, who said he would like to see a ban on terminations more than 12 weeks into a pregnancy.

Writing on the social networking site in the early hours of this morning (October 9), she explained: "Can small minded idiot blokes stop telling women whether or not they're entitled to abortions please ? #enoughnow"

"It's really hard to work and have a baby at the same time, because a baby cant stay at home on its own all day while you go to work. Sometimes there are lovely Dads who take their responsibilities very seriously and work very hard to look after their babies - these men should be applauded."

She continued: "BUT, sometimes, quite often, when the baby’s cry a lot the man gets frustrated and leaves the baby and the lady that had the baby. He sticks his fingers in his ears and pretends that the baby isn’t really there, he stops answering his phone when the lady calls. The lady gets very sad and feels very alone and angry and even though she loves her baby more than anything."

"So to all the Pro Lifers spamming me with sh*t. This is one of the many reasons i believe a woman should have a right to choose. the end. She wonders what her life might have been like if she had never had the baby in the first place."

The singer, who is now going under her marital name of Lily Rose Cooper, has been working on a highly anticipated comeback album.

She took a break from music in 2010 to pursue other avenues - such as fashion and motherhood - and Cooper told NME that she wants her new music to be at least "good" before it gets a public airing:

"I'm not going to put anything out until I've got an end product which I think's amazing - or, you know, good."

The 'It's Not Me, It's You' star continued: "I don't think there's going to be anything out in the next few months, but hopefully in the next year."

The singer, who has now changed her stage name to Lily Rose Cooper, took an extended break from music in 2009 to pursue other avenues, such as fashion and motherhood, but she recently made a surprise appearance with Professor Green as the rapper supported the Stone Roses at Heaton Park.

It has since emerged that Cooper is working on new music material and that she also recorded vocals for one of P!nk's new album tracks.

The flamboyant singer performed a special set on Monday night (August 20) for VH1's Storytellers, taking Cooper up on stage to play their duet 'True Love'.

The Sun quotes Cooper as saying she can't wait to return to singing once more after she caught the live music bug with P!nk. She said:

"It was great, felt strange being back on stage again but P!nk made me feel at ease. Really enjoyed myself though. Can't wait to get back out there."

The singer took to Twitter today (July 24) to speak about how she often has "weird dreams" after eating steak.

Her latest dream involved Allen being the interior designer for Styles - but unfortunately she didn't give any more details. She said:

"I always have weird dreams after eating steak for dinner. Last night I became Harry Styles' interior designer (not a euphemism)."

One Direction meanwhile recently opened up about their own dreams, with the boys revealing that they sometimes dream about being back in school.

As previously reported, Lily Allen reported a Twitter user over a reported offensive tweet that she received.

Earlier today (July 12) Allen decided to take a break from the social networking website after receiving a barrage of messages from angered users claiming that Harry Wilson, the tweeter in question, was not a racist.

However, she later confirmed that Wilson had sent her a hand written apology and that for her the matter is now closed. She said:

"I have just received some flowers and a hand written apology from Harry Wilson, which I accept. I hope we can all now move on. Thank you."
