The Mexanines

Release “Rocket” Video

Leeds based The Mexanines (pronounced Mex-a-neens) have given their growing army of fans a preview of what’s to come by releasing a video for their mesmerising new track “Rocket”.

It’s been eight years since the original inception of The Mexanines.  Time has seen the band develop from Arctic Monkeys wannabes, to a classy indie tour de force whose eerie aesthetic, confessional lyrics and haunting guitars look set to keep this innovative quartet’s career on its upward trajectory.

With successful tours under their belts with the Pigeon Detectives and Embrace, and support slots with Graham Coxon, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Reverend and the Makers, the band have already built a live reputation to be proud of.  Main stage appearances at Bingley Music Live and Kendal Calling Festivals, have all added to the bands live pedigree.

In the studio The Mexanines have been working with renowned multi-platinum selling writer/producer Steve Chrisanthou, which has led to the band reaching a whole new level with their new material.

“Rocket” is the first track from the new batch of material to be given a public airing.  The video sees lead vocalist and guitarist, James Brander, give an emotional performance alone in a room with only his lyrics for company.

Rocket” is a taster of what is to come from The Mexanines as they craft a classy cannon of work for your listening pleasure.

The track will be available for download at the end of September but in the meantime you have this mesmeric video to keep you going.
