The Theme Have Released “You Don’t Talk to Me” in aid of Mind (Charity)

South London indie mod rockers The Theme have made their track “You Don’t Talk to Me” available for download with all profits going to the Mind charity.  Mind is a charity close to vocalist’s Chris Daley’s heart as he is a strong believer in making people aware of the connection between music and mental health issues.

Hailing from South East London, The Theme have been building an impressive reputation since their formation in 2011.  Sell out gigs at the 100 Club and Clapham Grand, as well as support slots with Ocean Colour Scene and Steve Craddock, have seen The Theme become a popular fixture on the scene.  Debut album “Time for a Change” is available on iTunes, along with their critically acclaimed EP from 2014 “Hits the Sky”.

The latest offering “You Don’t Talk to Me” explores relationships and the lack of communication which is at the heart of most break ups.  According to songwriter Paul Bassom “we have gone through plenty of break ups in The Theme so I have just tried to put that into a song”.  With vocalist Chris Daley chiming in with some of the lyrics, it’s a personal yet extremely accessible song.

The track is available for free download at Bandcamp but there is an option to voluntarily pay whatever you think the track is worth.  This money will go directly to Mind to help support the excellent work they do and we certainly think the track is worth a few bob of your hard earned!!
