STATUS QUO ANNOUNCE “AQUOSTIC LIVE 2015” SHOWS

Live Nation is proud to announce that Britain’s best-loved rockers Status Quo will undertake a truly special 5 date “Aquostic Live 2015” UK tour in April 2015.  Tickets are on-sale from 9am on Friday 5th December priced at £38.50 / £48.50 regionally and £35 / £40 / £48.50 / £55 for London (subject to per-ticket charge plus order processing fee) and are available from www.livenation.co.uk

After 50 years at the top of their game as one of the world’s premiere hard rock acts, Quo have leapt out of their comfort zone, this tour will be fully acoustic and will feature female backing vocalists, additional musicians and even a string section; a totally new Quo live experience!

Aquostic Live 2015” will see Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Andrew Bown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and Leon Cave building on the incredible success currently being enjoyed  by the “Aquostic (Stripped Bare)” album itself which was a Top 5 hit, giving the band their highest chart placing for 18 years.   The band are taking the show that wowed the listeners of BBC Radio 2, plus those lucky enough to be in the intimate surroundings of London’s Roundhouse in October - and indeed the 8,000 fans who saw the show at the Schleyerhalle arena in Stuttgart – out on to the road. Packed with hits, both new and old, taken from that unbelievable back catalogue and comprehensively reworked, “Aquostic Live 2015” represents something of a new dawn for the band.

Classic Rock said that the album “Not only survives the songs’ sparse makeover, but actually dares to improve many of them,” with The Times adding that, “It’s time to… reclaim them as one of Britain’s great bands.” The Sun said simply that the album, “Helps confirm their national treasure status,” whilst Sunday Express commented, “If you haven't bought a new Quo album in a while this is the one to get”. Classic Rock said simply of The Roundhouse show, “It was triumphant”.

Support on all dates will come from Terry & Gerry, the Birmingham based cult skiffle cow-punk band Terry and Gerry who reforming in honour of their biggest fan, the late John Peel, to perform on this tour and headline dates of their own.
