Rod Stewart has pulled the first date of his UK and Ireland arena tour because of illness.

Little Mix on US success: "We feel like Justin Bieber"

Little Mix have revealed their shock at seeing their debut album hit No.4 in the US charts.

And they have compared their fans' reaction in the States to the overwhelming fanaticism Justin Bieber receives.

As previously reported, the British girl group's maiden record 'DNA' landed at an impressive No.4 on the charts this week.

Speaking to Billboard, Jesy Nelson admitted that she is surprised at the amount of fans they have over the pond. She said:

"Just seeing the amount of fans that we actually have [in the US] is so overwhelming. When we go to our signings, it's crazy - we feel like Justin Bieber when we go."

She added: "It's crazy, and we've never felt like that before, and it's just amazing."

Little Mix's chart success means that they are the highest ever charting British female group in the US with a debut album.

The previous record was held by the Spice Girls, who saw their first album 'Spice' enter the US chart at No.6 in 1997.

Miguel denies Billboard Music Awards stage jump ban

A rep for US star Miguel has dismissed reports that he was told not to jump over the audience at this year's Billboard Music Awards.

The singer grabbed headlines at the May event in Las Vegas after mistiming a leap over the crowd and partly landing on a female fan.

The incident gained attention recently after it was revealed that the victim, Khyati Shah, may pursue legal action after signs of neurological damage surfaced.

A source told a website that Miguel had previously been ordered not to jump over the crowd - something which a rep for the singer denied. They said:

"The reports claiming that Miguel was warned by producers not to jump are completely false."

They added: "A number of attempts were made to reach Khyati and her lawyer after the performance to see how she was doing and whether any assistance could be offered. Khyati's well-being has been and continues to be of the utmost concern to Miguel."

Russell Brand on former marriage: "Katy Perry is a lovely, beautiful person"

Russell Brand has praised former wife Katy Perry.

The comedian and actor was married to the 'Part Of Me' star from 2010 to 2012, when their divorce was finalised.

Speaking in a new interview with Esquire, Brand said that he was happy to have tried the monogamous lifestyle and complimented Perry's character.

However, he added that parties had to have "really wanted it" in order for the marriage to be a success. Brand said:

"When I'm in a relationship I'm diligently monogamous and stick to the principles agreed on within that relationship. You've got to, I think."

He added: "But it's going to be hard if I go into a monogamous relationship. I live a life where I have a lot of freedom, so if I meet someone and I go, 'Right let's be monogamous', that's a f**king change. But I tried it and I loved it. I really think [Katy's] a lovely, beautiful person. It's just hard, isn't it? She's got a lot of options, I've got a lot of options, so you've got to really, really want it."

Talking about his famed sex drive, Brand commented:

"I've given over too much of my life to its pursuit. And I've probably harmed other people, by being selfish. And really, I'd like to be married. I'm just not transmitting that frequency of 'Soulmate! Soulmate!' I'm transmitting the frequency of 'Mmm!'. This is the realisation of a childhood dream - my hero, the great artist Morrissey, affirming and praising my work. But while he's talking, a girl with big tits walks past in the background, and I immediately look at her. It's not even a decision - it's more like 'breathe', or 'kidneys separate urine from water'. It's happening on such a deep level, that stuff."

Mike GLC on Tulisa drugs arrest: 'The truth will come out'

Rapper Mike GLC has spoken out after he and Tulisa were arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.

As previously reported, the former X Factor judge and her friend GLC were embroiled in an undercover story led by The Sun which saw them apparently involved in a setting up a drug deal.

Tulisa allegedly fixed the deal with their reporter, who seemingly later bought cocaine from Mike GLC.

Both were arrested on Tuesday (June 4) on suspicion of supplying class A drugs. Speaking outside Belgravia police station in London following "hours" of questioning, GLC said:

"[Tulisa] has not done anything, I can’t think why there should not be a reason for her to come back. I’ve been released on bail.
The rapper, who said that the story was sneakily edited, added: "I’m not a drug dealer and I’ve never dealt drugs and I don’t have a record."

New Kids on the Block concert cancelled over border delay

A performance featuring reformed boyband New Kids on the Block has been cancelled as the band’s ‘The Package’ tour was held up at the Canadian border.

A statement on the band’s website reads: “The Package tour was unfortunately delayed at the Canadian border earlier today and as a result has impacted the time required for the shows production and crew to prepare for tonight's concert in Ottawa.

“As a result, The Package Tour featuring New Kids On The Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men have rescheduled their Ottawa performance tonight to Wednesday, June 5 at Scotiabank Place. All tickets purchased for the original performance this evening will be honoured tomorrow.”

A rep for the band confirmed to Tmz.com that several gear trucks and key crew members were halted at the border for such a long time that the concert had to be scrapped. The band members however, arrived safely and on time.

Sting to release first album of original songs in a decade

This fall, music legend Sting will be releasing his first album of original tracks since 2003’s ‘Sacred Love’, his publicist has revealed.

The album will be called ‘The Last Ship’ and has grown out of a musical Sting has been working on with the same name. The show is hoping to make it to Broadway next year.

Though he has released work since 2003 – including 2010’s ‘Symphonicities’ an orchestral collection of his previous compositions – this will be the first album of originals by the Police star in ten years.

Several tracks on the album are expected to be heard in the musical and Sting has been working with the likes of ‘Skyfall’ co-writer John Logan and playwright Brian Yorkey on the show.

The musical is based around a shipyard during the decline of the shipbuilding industry in late 1980’s England.

Miguel’s Billboard Awards mishap may have caused victim brain damage

Singer Miguel’s misjudged stage stunt may have caused a female fan brain damage, says the woman’s lawyer.

The injury occurred when Miguel was performing at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards and attempted to jump across part of the crowd, falling slightly short and crashing into a few fans including Khyati Shah, whose head was caught by Miguel’s leg and forced into the stage behind her. However, she was later seen in good spirits alongside Miguel who had visited to check on her condition and apologize.

But Shah has apparently been feeling effects from the injury, says her lawyer Vip Bhola who told Tmz.com: "Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury."

The woman is undergoing tests from a neurologist to confirm any damage and may possibly pursue a lawsuit.

Miguel recently opened up about the incident, saying: "The truth is that in rehearsal I had made that jump a couple of times. It wasn't that I under-jumped, it was that the crowd...You know what, I don't even have an explanation man. Everybody out there, that s*** was funny. I'm laughing at it now."

He added: "That night and the day after I was definitely worried about the girl – more than anything worried about the girl. What a lot of people didn't see was once the camera cuts off, I like ran to the girl took her to infirmary, sat with her and made sure she was OK. I don't really know what to say besides I'm sorry.”

The Rolling Stones deny Adele duet plans

The Rolling Stones have dismissed speculation that they will perform with Adele next month.

The veteran rockers have been inviting guest singers on stage with them during their 50 And Counting tour.

As previously reported, Taylor Swift teamed up with the group on Monday night (June 3), following in the footsteps of the likes of Lady Gaga and Dave Grohl.

It had been mooted that Adele might hit the stage with the Stones when they play the London venue on July 6 and 13.

However, when asked if those plans were correct, a rep for the 'Brown Sugar' group told the Guardian: "No".

Adele's publicist meanwhile was similarly tight-lipped, adding: "I have no comment on their story."
