Stevie Nicks approves of John Mayer and Katy Perry's romance: 'They are so great together'

Fleetwood Mac superstar Stevie Nicks has given her opinion on the relationship between John Mayer and Katy Perry

Speaking to Us magazine in America, the 'Edge of Seventeen' icon explained that she feels as though Mayer and Perry make a great couple: "I just saw them on December 30 in Vegas, and that's where I dedicated 'Landslide' to them."

"They seem to be a really great couple, and they seem to really care about each other. I am just hoping for the best for them. It would be great if that relationship really worked out and they were together forever."

Nicks added that she is also a fan of the 'Teenage Dream' beauty's music: "I like Katy's songs and her energy. I dance to them and I treadmill to them. I think Katy's really fun, funny and quirky. And I have been friends with John Mayer for a long time. I think John Mayer is one of the finest songwriters ever. He is right up there with James Taylor, Don Henley and those people."

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Nicks recently gave advice to Perry about making friends and not enemies out of her contemporaries in the industry: "I said to her, ‘Katy, let me tell you something. You don’t have any rivals. So forget that. Never say that word again. You don’t have rivals. All of those girls? Friends. You’ll probably work with all of them at some point. Friends.’”
