Ke$ha's mother: 'Doctors said it was a miracle she hadn't dropped dead on stage'

Singer Ke$ha recently admitted herself to the Timberline Knolls treatment centre to deal with an eating disorder and her mother, Pebe Sebert, has now revealed that she was very ill prior to making the decision to commit herself.

In a new interview with People magazine, Pebe explained that physicians were incredibly concerned about her daughter's health and wellbeing to the point where they feared for her life:

"[The doctors] told me her blood pressure and sodium were so low they'd never seen that, except with someone who'd had a heart attack or stroke. They said it was a miracle she hadn't dropped dead onstage. She had a breakdown. She called me from the gas station and admitted how much she'd been throwing up... I just said, 'Ok,' and called some (treatment) centres. Ke$ha agreed to talk to them, liked what they said and basically cried until we got her there"

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Pebe has also now checked herself into the same rehabilitation clinic for post traumatic stress disorder
