'I Predict A Riot' hitmakers Kaiser Chiefs have been confirmed to perform at an upcoming British Grand Prix event at Silverstone race course. 

The concert is due to take place on Thursday, July 3 and people who have tickets to the Grand Prix will be able to purchase tickets first, but general sale will then begin on January 23. 

Silverstone’s Managing Director, Richard Phillips, issued a statement on the exciting news and said: "We are delighted to announce that Kaiser Chiefs will be playing on the eve of the British Grand Prix weekend and believe they will be a very popular addition to the event."

He added: "Over the years the British Grand Prix has become so much more than just a race on the Sunday. Fans now come for the entire weekend and make the most of the entertainment that we have on offer. Customer feedback tells us that the fans thoroughly enjoy the concerts we hold over the course of the Grand Prix event, and Kaiser Chiefs will be equally well received and a great way to start the weekend.”

Earlier this month, the band's frontman Ricky Wilson confessed that he joined the mentor panel of 'The Voice' in hopes that being on television weekly might boost his group's popularity. Following this admission, online ticket retailer Viagogo explained that interest in the Kaiser Chiefs had shot up by 179%.
