Carrie Underwood becomes new face of Almay: 'Every woman is amazing in her own way'

Songstress Carrie Underwood has signed up to become the new face of cosmetics brand, Almay.

Speaking about representing the company, the country superstar admitted that she's looking forward to her role because she believes make-up should be something that enhances and not masks, which is an idea she wants to portray:

"I believe that every woman is amazing and unique in her own way."

"So to me, the role of a make-up brand should be to inspire and help women enhance themselves and have fun with make-up, not transform them into something they're not."

Julia Goldin, the global chief marketing officer of Revlon, Inc, issued a statement on the exciting news and said that the 'Blown Away' beauty was the perfect choice to be the face of Almay: "Carrie embraces Almay's approach to beauty and products. Despite her enormous success, she is still a real girl from Oklahoma at the core and a self-professed make-up junkie who likes to try out new make-up looks in her spare time said in a statement."

"Almay makes it easy to play with make-up and helps women look their most beautiful, which is why we could not be more excited for her to join the brand."

Underwood has also just unveiled a line of exclusive nail polishes with OPI, which include such colours as red 'American As Apple Pie' and deep purple 'Fisher Queen' (pictured below).
