Justin Bieber's father speaks out: 'I can't protect my kids from you and your lies'

Jeremy Bieber, the father of Canadian teen sensation Justin Bieber, has posted a tweet in the wake of his son's recent shocking arrest

The 'Baby' heartthrob was pulled over by cops in Miami yesterday (January 23) and was subsequently arrested for DUI and driving without a valid licence. It was then confirmed by police that he was under the influence of alcohol and anti-depressants.

Earlier this afternoon (January 24), Jeremy Bieber took to his official Twitter page and told his followers and Beliebers alike not to listen to press rumours surrounding this incident:

"I can protect my kids, but I can't protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife."

19-year-old Bieber has now posted bail of $2,500 (£1,500) after a brief court appearance and waved to his fans after leaving jail (pictured below).
