Clean Bandit claim No. 1 spot in UK singles chart with 'Rather Be'

British quartet Clean Bandit have debuted at the top of the UK singles chart with their track ‘Rather Be’ featuring Jess Glynne.

Clean Bandit – made up by brothers Jack and Luke Patterson, Grace Chatto and Neil Amin-Smith – have managed to topple Pharrell Williams’ from No. 1 by selling 163,000 copies of ‘Rather Be’ in the past week.

Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’ has now moved to No. 2.

The remainder of the top five is completed by a new entry from The Vamps at No. 3 with ‘Wild Heart’, Neon Jungle are also new in with ‘Braveheart’ at No. 4 and ‘Timber’ by Pitbull featuring Ke$ha has fallen three places to No. 5.

As well as the three new entries within the top five, a further trio of tracks have made their debut inside the top 40.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ ‘White Walls’ has soared 26 places to reach No. 27, ‘If I Lose Myself’ by OneRepublic has climbed 33 places to No. 32 and Miley Cyrus’ latest release ‘Adore You’ now sits at No. 33 having advanced 15 spots.
