Police deny Justin Bieber charges have been dropped

Police appear to have dismissed speculation that some of Justin Bieber's charges have been dropped.

The 19-year-old Canadian was arrested by Miami police last week for resisting arrest, DUI and driving without a valid licence.

He had apparently been drag racing in the Miami Beach area.

New speculation had emerged that the DUI and licence charges have been dropped as they don't feature on an online database of charges.

The Miami Beach Police department were questioned about this on Twitter and today (January 27) they appear to have confirmed that all three charges still stand.

They said: "Set under different dockets. No charges dropped."

Bieber meanwhile broke his silence on the matter at the weekend by taking to Twitter to proclaim:

"YOU ARE ALL WORTHY NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS >> BE STRONG GOD IS WITH US ALL> MY BELIEBERS CHANGED MY LIFE> I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL."
