Clean Bandit's 'Rather Be' spends a second week at No. 1

Clean Bandit have retained their place at the top of the UK singles chart with their hit ‘Rather Be’.

‘Rather Be’ – featuring Jess Glynne – is now spending its second consecutive week at No. 1.

The British quartet have managed to fend off Will.i.am and Miley Cyrus by selling 137,000 copies this week.

‘Feelin’ Myself’ by Will.i.am, Cyrus, French Montana and Wiz Khalifa has had to settle for No. 2 with sales of 97,000.

The rest of this week’s top five is made up by Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy’ which is down one to No. 3, and a couple of new entries from Gorgon City featuring MNEK at No. 4 with ‘Ready For Your Love’, and Katy B’s ‘Crying For No Reason’ at No. 5.

Other new entries to this week’s chart come from Katy Perry with ‘Dark Horse’ J at No. 19, 'If U Got It' by US DJ Chris Malinchak at No. 23 and Sophie Ellis Bextor’s ‘Young Blood’ at No. 34.

There are also a trio of Top 40 re-entries to the chart this week. ‘80s classic ‘It’s Raining Men’ by the Weather Girls has reached No. 31 as part of a social media campaign in response to former UKIP councillor David Silvester’s recent negative comments about the government’s gay marriage bill. Imagine Dragon’s ‘Radioactive’ is at No. 32 after winning Best Rock Performance at the Grammys. And following his participation in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Dappy’s 2011 single ‘No Regrets’ is at No. 40.
