Bombay Bicycle Club on course for first UK No.1 album

Bombay Bicycle Club look set to bag their first ever UK No.1 album this weekend.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed today (February 5) that their new effort 'So Long, See You Tomorrow' is riding high in the midweek albums chart update.

It is their fourth record and looks set to beat their previous highest chart position of No.6, which was attained by 2011's 'A Different Kind of Fix'.

At No.2 on the midweek chart meanwhile are symphonic rockers Within Temptation, whose new effort 'Hydra' has made a sizeable impact.

Avicii's debut record 'True' is No.3 whilst Ellie Goulding's 'Halcyon' is No.4.

Completing the top five is Beyoncé's self-titled album, which was released to the surprise of her fans in December.
