Crowded House star Neil Finn: 'Lorde should leave New Zealand'

New Zealand recording artist Neil Finn, of Crowded House fame, has revealed that he thinks 'Royals' songstress Lorde should leave the country while she's on the rise because she'd be more suited to a busier area.

Referring to the reporters that swarmed Lorde as she returned to her home country, he explained: "Those news teams are idiots."

Finn went on to admit that New Zealand probably isn't the right place for her to be at the moment: "New Zealand had, up until that moment, been quite a good environment [for her] because people are not super celebrity-oriented, they pretty much leave you alone. But it keeps reaching this new critical mass and now with winning two Grammys, I think it’s getting pretty intense.”

When asked what Lorde should do next, Finn added: "I’d think she might go well moving to New York or something, where there are more famous people and less bother about it. It wouldn’t be a bad move to get among the centre of operations."
