Harry Styles' father on BRITs 'wee' moment: 'Hopefully that's the last time his willy gets him into trouble'

Des Styles, the father of One Direction heartthrob Harry, has joked about his son's recent awkward moment at the 2014 BRIT Awards.

The boyband won the Global Success prize at last night's (February 19) ceremony, but the floppy-haired superstar was absent from the stage and later ran onto the podium and joked that he was "having a wee".

His father posted an amusing message to his official Twitter page late last night and laughed about the incident with Styles' fans: "Let's hope that's the last time his willy gets him into trouble? Ha! X"

The 'Story Of My Life' sensation's mother, Anne, also weighed in on his bathroom break and tweeted: "What a time to need a comfort break!! @Harry_Styles."

Styles is yet to tweet about the funny moment, but took to his own social networking page to thank Directioners for the support at the ceremony: "Thank you to everyone who voted... Brits are ace."
