Lily Allen: 'I don't get mashed at awards ceremonies anymore now that I'm a mother'

'Air Balloon' songstress Lily Allen has confessed that now she has two children she doesn't go crazy with the free alcohol at awards ceremonies because the hangover recovery time just isn't worth it.

She told BANG Showbiz that while she still enjoys attending the star-studded events, she doesn't get drunk anymore and instead limits her intake:

"It's great to be here, it's a cool ceremony. I think all awards ceremonies have different things going for them and this is the one to get mashed at, which I won't be doing by the way as a mother of two. I will enjoy watching other people doing it... Maybe I'll just have a little gin."

She took home the Best Solo Artist prize, beating the likes of Lorde and Sir Paul McCartney to the title, and explained that she hasn't even released her new album, 'Sheezus', yet: "To win Best Solo Artist is stupid because I haven't released an album. But it's lovely to be here."

Shortly after winning the trophy, she posted a photograph of it to Instagram and joked that the middle finger had already snapped off
