Adele and Rihanna singles become latest tracks to sell one million in UK

Adele and Rihanna have seen two of their singles bypass the one million sales mark in the UK.

The Official Charts Company have confirmed that Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' and Rihanna's 'Diamonds' have become the 144th and 145th tracks to shift over one million units in the UK.

It is only Adele's second time reaching the milestone, whilst Rihanna now has four million-plus selling singles.

That means the Bajan beauty is only second behind the Beatles in the list of acts with the most million selling tracks in the UK.

Adele's previous million seller is 'Someone Like You', whilst Rihanna has seen 'We Found Love, 'Love The Way You Lie' and 'Only Girl in the World' smash the milestone.

Sir Elton John's 1997 remake of 'Candle in the Wind' meanwhile is still the country's top selling single of all time, with Band Aid's 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' the second top-seller.
