Elbow achieve No. 1 UK album with 'The Take Off And Landing Of Everything'

British band Elbow’s latest album, ‘The Take Off And Landing Of Everything’, has debuted at the top of the UK albums chart.

‘The Take Off And Landing Of Everything’ is Guy Garvey and co’s sixth studio album and their first ever UK chart-topping LP. 

Another high new entry to this week’s album chart comes from Paloma Faith with ‘A Perfect Contradiction’ at No. 2.

Last week’s No. 1 album, Pharrell Williams’ ‘G I R L’, has now fallen to No. 3.

The rest of this week’s top five is made up by Bastille with ‘Bad Blood’ down one to No. 4 and Arctic Monkeys’ ‘AM’ is a non-mover at No. 5.

New entries to this week's album chart come from Metronomy with 'Love Letters' at No. 7, Dr Hook's collection 'Timeless' at No. 11, Architects' 'Lost Forever/Lost Together' at No. 16, Ghetts at No. 23 with 'Rebel With A Cause', Dan Croll’s 'Sweet Disarray' at Number 26 and Room 94’s 'No Strings Attached' at No. 28.
