Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls world tour denied

A proposed world tour featuring the Backstreet Boys and the Spice Girls has been denied.

As previously reported, US singer Brian Littrell was recently quoted by The Sun as saying that the 'Everybody (Backstreet's Back)' group had been in discussions about touring with the defunct Spice Girls.

The news was greeted warmly by fans, but a rep for the Backstreet Boys has now told MTV that the tour isn't happening.

The Spice Girls last performed together at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Victoria Beckham recently said that she wouldn't reunite with them again.

The Backstreet Boys meanwhile are set to perform in the UK in April.

Their first date comes at Glasgow's Hydro venue on April 3, with further shows planned for London and Manchester.
