Artist creates Harry Styles and Cheryl Cole portraits using crackers

An artist has made portraits of Harry Styles and Cheryl Cole using crackers.

24-year-old Nathan Wyburn from Cardiff was asked by snack company Jacob's to create pictures of famous faces using their products.

He went to town using 54kg of cream crackers, 10kg of Mini Cheddars and 12,000 Twiglets to make the pieces.

The faces went on display on April 1 at a London art gallery as Jacob's launched a new campaign, but they insisted it wasn't an April Fools' joke.

Wyburn, who also made portraits of Holly Willoughby, Prince William and Kate Middleton, said: "We all know and love Mini Cheddars so to have the opportunity to create Cheryl Cole and Harry Styles out of them was so much fun. A few mouthfuls went missing as part of the creative process but I'm delighted with the end result."

Ted Linehan, Director of Savoury at United Biscuits, added: "I'm sure many people might have thought that this was an April Fool, but seeing The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Stonehenge recreated using our Cream Crackers is something I will never forget."
