Lady Gaga is set to preview her upcoming world tour during a takeover of MTV.

The singer will lord over the music network on Friday (April 4) to showcase behind the scenes clips of her artRave: The ARTPOP Ball Tour, which kicks off in May.

She will interrupt breaks in programming to air short videos of aspects like costume changes and dressing rooms.

The first date meanwhile of the ARTPOP Ball Tour is due to take place in Florida on May 4.

The North America leg of the run will continue through to early August, when Gaga will travel to Asia, Australia and Europe.

Before that, however, is a series of dates at New York's Roseland Ballroom as it prepares to shut down.
