Jermain Jackman wins The Voice UK

Jermain Jackman was named the winner of The Voice UK last night (April 5).

Jermain beat his fellow finalists – Christina Marie, Sally Barker and Jamie Johnson – to win a record deal.

Coached by Black Eyed Pea Will.i.am, Jermain Jackman sang his way to victory on the BBC One show’s live final.

Jermain secured his win with his renditions of Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’, ‘Pure Imagination’ from ‘Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory’ and ‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’ from ‘Dreamgirls’.

Upon the announcement of his triumph Jermain said: “This is an achievement for everyone around the world who has had a dream and worked hard to achieve that dream.”

The Voice UK 2014’s live final also saw performances from the coaching panel with Kylie Minogue, Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson covering Primal Scream’s ‘Rocks’, as well as Paloma Faith singing ‘Can’t Rely On You’ and Aloe Blacc with ‘The Man’.

The Voice UK is set to return to television screens for a further two series.
