Miranda Lambert was one of the big winners at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards.

The awards ceremony took place at the MGM Grand Garden Hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday (April 6) as the cream of country music was honoured.

Lambert bagged the Female Vocalist of the Year and Single Record of the Year prizes, with the latter for 'Mama's Broken Heart'.

Other winners on the night included Jason Aldean in the Male Vocalist of the Year section and George Strait, who was named Entertainer of the Year.

There were also nods for Florida Georgia Line (Vocal Duo of the Year), The Band Perry (Vocal Group of the Year) and Kacey Musgraves (Album of the Year).

Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban meanwhile bagged the Video of the Year gong for their 'Highway Don't Care' clip.
