Former *NSYNC star Lance Bass has revealed that telling the world he is homosexual slowed his career down because a lot of projects he was wworking on at the time ended up getting axed.

During a recent radio interview, Bass explained that coming out as a gay man was stressful because he felt as though he had taken a step back where his career was concerned:

"I definitely felt coming out really hurt pretty much all of the products I was working on at the time. They canceled a bunch of the stuff... and that really set me back for years."

He added: "So I had to go back and redevelop tons of other stuff for TV and film."

Last year, Bass told Gossip Cop that he would love there to be a reality show featuring his boyband because they all have such strong personalities: "We see each other a lot, but we never get to see each other all five of us in the same room. It's such a dynamic, it's hilarious. We need a reality show when that happens."
