Eminem and Rihanna will play their song 'The Monster' at this year's MTV Movie Awards.

The duo will run through their 2013 hit at this weekend's awards ceremony, which is taking place on Sunday (April 13) at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater.

The slot will be the first time the two stars - who previously teamed up on 2010's 'Love The Way You Lie' - have played the song live together.

The duo join an MTV Movie Awards bill that already features Ellie Goulding, Zedd and Twenty One Pilots.

Conan O'Brien will host the event and films The Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle look set to enjoy a good night with eight nominations each.

Eminem and Rihanna meanwhile will embark on a three-city co-headline North America tour in support of 'The Monster' later this year.

They will kick things off at the Los Angeles Rose Bowl on August 7 before playing New York City's Metlife Stadium on August 16. They will then conclude things at Detroit's Comerica Park on August 22.
