Peaches Geldof post-mortem inconclusive

The cause of Peaches Geldof's death may only be determined in "several weeks" time after her post-mortem results came back inconclusive.

The 25-year-old media personality, who was the daughter of Bob Geldof, was found dead on Monday (April 7) at an address in Kent.

Her body had its post-mortem today (April 9) but police have confirmed that its results came back inconclusive.

The next step in the case will be to run toxicology tests, which may take "several weeks" to get results from.

Police added: "Officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death in order to compile a report for the coroner."

The death was originally treated as "non-suspicious but unexplained and sudden".

Geldof meanwhile is survived by husband Thomas Cohen and sons Astala, one, and Phaedra, who will turn one on April 24.

Her final column for Mother and Baby magazine, which was written before her death, was published on Tuesday (April 8) at her family's blessing - read it here.
