Paolo Nutini: 'I never want to go to an awards show and see Miley Cyrus with her arse out'

Singer Paolo Nutini has revealed that he isn't fussed with the celebrity side of having a career as a musician because he doesn't like what the face of the industry has become.

Speaking to Digital Spy about making a return to the scene, the crooner explained that it's all becoming very 'in your face' and oversexed, which he doesn't want to be associated with:

"Exactly! See now you know what I never hope for: standing there doing happy faces or whatever, standing with Miley Cyrus with her arse out in front of me, licking some f**king piece of inanimate object."

When asked if the huge success of his last two albums has made him feel under pressure with his new offering, 'Caustic Love', Nutini admitted that it has done the exact opposite:

"No, if anything it's alleviated it. Obviously I've never been a darling of the critics as such anyway, so I don't have to worry about my NME review. If anything, it's given me a reason not to be too worried about that, and not to have to compromise too much because of it either. I don't have to go and get gunged anywhere. I'm not on camera either."
