Peaches Geldof's body released to family ahead of funeral

The body of Peaches Geldof has been released to her family to allow them to prepare for her funeral.

The 25-year-old media personality, who was the daughter of Bob Geldof, was found dead on Monday (April 7) at an address in Kent.

Her body had its post-mortem on Wednesday (April 9) but police confirmed that its results came back inconclusive.

They added that results from toxicology tests will take "several weeks" to come back.

A spokesman for North West Kent coroner Roger Hatch has now confirmed that Geldof's body has been given to her family.

He said: "We can confirm that the body has been released to the family for funeral arrangements to be made."

Her untimely death was originally treated as "non-suspicious but unexplained and sudden".

Geldof is survived by husband Thomas Cohen and sons Astala, one, and Phaedra, who will turn one on April 24.
