Ed Sheeran's clothing raised £4,000 for charity

Clothing donated to an online eBay auction by vocal sensation Ed Sheeran has raised a total of £1,500 for St Elizabeth Hospice.

The superstar donated various pieces of clothing to a charity shop in Framlingham and also held an online auction, and both methods of sale have managed to raise over £4,000 in total.

Kara, of Philadelphia, USA, was the winner of Sheeran's Captain America T-shirt and told press that she was excited to have won the item:

“Thanks so much for the Ed Sheeran auction and the chance to donate to such a fabulous organisation! I am stoked to have won the Captain America t-shirt.”

Another winning bid owner was Sofie Kern from Germany, who took home the Random Impulse t-shirt for £68, who added: “I was so overwhelmed when I realised I had won, I am so happy.”

Sue Goodchild, St Elizabeth Hospice’s head of retail, explained in a statement: “We are extremely grateful to Ed Sheeran and his family for donating the items to St Elizabeth Hospice. Thank you to everybody who bid on the auction and who bought items from our hospice shop."

"The sale in the shop and the online auction has raised a combined total of £4,000 which is a fantastic amount and will help us continue to provide local Hospice care for local people.”
