5 Seconds Of Summer to fans: 'We're working hard on something for you all'

Australian band 5 Seconds Of Summer have revealed that they're not as active on their collective Twitter page at the moment as they usually are because they're working on a special project for their devoted fans.

The band shared an update earlier today (April 15), in which they explained that their absence from the social networking site is because they have something for their followers that needs a little time:

"I freakin' love corn chips, sorry we aren't tweeting loads, workin' hard on something for you guys xo."

The guys are currently in the USA on tour and member Ashton Irwin recently tweeted about rumours the band faces on a regular basis and thanked fans for always sticking by them: "You guys never fail me, people will always talk, whoever supports us keep being f**king awesome, and I'll just keep on drumming."

Earlier this month, the lads spoke to Pop Crush about how they like to impress the ladies and Irwin revealed that making girls mixtapes is a tried and tested method: "I think that’s one of the most important things to me, a girl’s music tastes. Yeah, I have (made a mixtape). It would have been like year eight, so I was into really like… there would have been a bit of Green Day, there would have been some Mayday Parade. I think think even some ‘Hey There Delilah'."
