Sam Smith: 'John Legend has asked me to collaborate with him'

'Stay With Me' hitmaker Sam Smith has revealed that crooner John Legend has reached out to him for a potential collaboration, which he is really excited about.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show in the USA, the singer explained that he was really overwhelmed by all of the artists who have contacted him about potential duets, but he's really interested in possibly working with Legend:

"There’s loads of people who have reached out... John Legend, who seems up for something, which would be cool. I want to try everything because you never know. You could perform magic with people when you least expect.”

Earlier this month, Smith confirmed details of a UK headlining tour that will kick off on October 23 at the O2 Academy in Glasgow. He will also visit Nottingham, Bristol, Cambridge, and London. His album, 'The Lonely Hour', is also due to be released on May 26.

This afternoon, the hitmaker took to his official Twitter page and teased fans by telling them he has something special to show them soon: "I just got back the final edit to something so special!! I am beyond excited to show it to you all. All in good time thou lol."
