Backstreet Boys star hits out at *NSYNC member for criticism: 'Sorry bro, you have us all wrong'

Hitmaker Nick Carter, of Backstreet Boys fame, has revealed that he's disappointed in *NSYNC member Joey Fatone's recent comments about his band's reformation and insisted that they decided to get back together because they still had such a devoted fan base.

Speaking to HuffPost Live, Fatone previously said that he thought the iconic boyband reunited because they were all in need of some cash: "I feel like they just need the money. No offence, guys. But I'm saying, if you think about it, it's like, 'Why are you coming back out again?'"

Carter took a break from enjoying his honeymoon on April 18 to address Fatone's comments and explained that Backstreet Boys haven't made a comeback for the money and it was purely for their fans:

"Just disappointed, I really liked Joey... I'm proud of who we are and love what we stand for. Truthfully it's about not letting our fans down. I'm proud of who we are and love what we stand for. Truthfully its about not letting our fans down. Sorry bro but you have us all wrong."
