X Factor musical 'I Can’t Sing!' to close weeks after opening

The musical ‘I Can’t Sing!’ will cease operation six weeks after its premiere performance.

Written by Harry Hill and based on the X Factor, ‘I Can’t Sing!’ will be closing its doors in London’s West End after a final show on May 10.

The delayed preview performance of ‘I Can’t Sing!’ was given on March 5 after a number of postponements due to technical difficulties.

The official opening date of the show was March 26.

The announcement of ‘I Can’t Sing!’’s closure comes a month after Simon Cowell declared it to be a “fantastic” production.

CEO of Stage Entertainment UK – Rebecca Quigley – has said: “We are sad to be bringing ‘I Can't Sing!’ to a close, but are immensely proud to have co-produced the show. The West End can be an unpredictable place as the closure of a number of high profile productions recently has shown.”

Ticket holders for shows following the final performance on May 10 at the London Palladium should contact their point of purchase.
