Bill O'Reilly on Beyoncé: "The 'empowering' stuff is just so much garbage"

Bill O'Reilly believes Beyoncé isn't a source of empowerment and actually does harm to some young women.

The singer is often seen as a figure of strong female spirit, but the outspoken US TV presenter thinks otherwise.

Speaking on his Fox News show The O'Reilly Factor, the media man said:

"The 'empowering' stuff is just so much garbage. Empowering what? She sings songs."

Referring to the singer's apparent "negative influence", O'Reilly continued:

"Especially those who do not have parental supervision. [There are] cultural deficits...not only [in] black precincts, but in poor, white precincts and Hispanic precincts with unsupervised children...Beyoncé is part of that problem. Beyoncé knows that young girls [are] getting pregnant in the African-American community, and now it's about 70% [who are] out of wedlock.

"She should be smart enough to know what she is doing now is harming some children."
