DJ Zedd wants Katy Perry collaboration: 'We need to make it happen'

Hitmaker Zedd, who has previously worked with Lady Gaga and Paramore's Hayley Williams, has revealed that next on his list of dream duets is pop superstar Katy Perry.

During an interview with MTV News at Hangout Fest, the 'Stay The Night' hitmaker explained that he recently wrote a track that would be perfect for Perry's vocal style and he hopes there's a way they can get together at some point to collaborate:

"I just wrote a song and I was imagining her voice over it. So you guys can hook me up with that and we’ll make it happen.”

On May 16, Zedd tweeted his admiration for the beauty's latest single 'Birthday' and wrote: "I fuckin' looooove love love @katyperry's "birthday"!!! My jam!!!"

Zedd, meanwhile, has also recently recorded a duet with Ariana Grande and she confessed that she would love their joint track to be her next single: "I did a song with Zedd, who I just met for the first time. I really want that to be the second single. My whole team is like, ‘Oh, it’s too early to pick a new single,’ but I’m really… I love that song so much. He’s fantastic and the song is really fun, and it’s very different for me."
