Ed Drewett has offered his thoughts on whether One Direction or The Wanted have better music.

The songwriter - who is appearing on this year's Britain's Got Talent as a singer - has penned tracks for both acts, such as 'Best Song Ever' and 'All Time Low'.

He was asked by Digital Spy about the two acts and questioned about which group has better music, Drewett replied:

"I've fallen in love with 'Midnight Memories' by One Direction - not because I had songs on it, but because other tracks were written by two of my best friends. I just love the album as a body of work, so I'd say 'Midnight Memories' and One Direction, for me, are the best."

When asked which band are better looking, the songwriter added:

"F**k! Er...I'd have to say 1D, because Tom [Parker] just lets The Wanted down. He's my friend - I'll get away with that one!"
