Ashley Roberts: 'British men don't have sticks up their a**es'

Former Pussycat Dolls beauty Ashley Roberts has opened up about the kind of guy she typically goes for and admitted that she's partial to a man with a great sense of humour.

Speaking to Stylist magazine, the star explained that there's something about British men in particular that she loves and she believes it's because they're so quick to poke fun at themselves:

"I'd like a British king. I want to find a man that I love. I've been bouncing around the globe a lot, so hopefully now I'm in one place that'll be easier. I like British guys. They take the p**s and I enjoy that because I feel like it brings everybody down to a humanistic level. You don't have to have a stick up your a** the whole time. Excuse my language, but I'm not sorry!"

Her solo single, 'Clockwork', will be released on May 25 and she added that being by herself as a performing and recording artist is really exciting for her after being part of a girl group for so long: "I'm glad I'm solo."

"I miss being part of The Dolls because we had such amazing electricity on stage. But, although they're something I'm proud of, it's my past and I'm excited for what's happening now. Hopefully, as an individual, I can make an impact that would last."
