Passenger, Nile Rodgers and Tom Odell pick up Ivor Novello awards

Passenger and Nile Rodgers were among the big winners at this year's Ivor Novello Awards.

The British songwriting awards were held this afternoon (May 22) in London and a number of acts were honoured for their work.

Passenger won the PRS for Music’s Most Performed Work gong for his hit track 'Let Her Go'.

Tom Odell bagged the Songwriter of the Year prize whilst Nick Cave went home with the Best Album award for his effort 'Push The Sky Away'.

Other winners included James Blake (Best Contemporary Song), London Grammar (Best Song Musically and Lyrically) and the Chemical Brothers (Outstanding Song Collection).

Jeff Beck collected the PRS for Music Outstanding Contribution to British Music award prize whilst Mumford and Sons bagged the International Achievement honour.

Nile Rodgers meanwhile was given the PRS for Music Special International Award.
