Naughty Boy has confirmed that Zayn Malik is talented in rapping as well as singing.

The One Direction man was recently pictured in the studio with the 'La La La' hitmaker and it was suggested that rap was involved.

The producer has now confirmed to Capital FM that the session was for One Direction and that Malik is actually good at spitting out rhymes.

He said: "Zayn's actually quite a good rapper, we've been in the studio doing some One Direction stuff and he can spit bars!"

Naughty Boy added that Emeli Sandé also helped to write with them and that he was the first producer Malik has worked with outside of the usual One Direction collaborators.

The boyband are expected to release their fourth album later this year.
