Mick Jagger happy to see Metallica headline Glastonbury

Sir Mick Jagger has backed the Glastonbury Festival's decision to have Metallica headline one of their nights.

The US rockers are due to top the Pyramid Stage on the Saturday (June 28) night of the Worthy Farm shindig.

However, many people think their hard sound will be at odds with the traditional Glastonbury crowd.

The Rolling Stones headlined the festival last year and singer Jagger told The Sun that he approves the booking.

He said: "I've seen them live and they're going to be great."

Metallica previously supported The Rolling Stones in Los Angeles over two nights in 2005.
