Foxes says Pharrell offered her support slot after seeing 'Happy' cover

Foxes has revealed that she was asked to support Pharrell Williams on tour after he heard her cover of his track 'Happy'.

The rising Brit covered the song in a mash-up of Massive Attack's 'Teardrops' for BBC Radio 1 earlier this year and it seems to have impressed Williams.

Foxes will support the 'G I R L' man on his upcoming European tour and she told the BBC that she got the call as a result of her cover:

"He heard it and invited me on his tour. Apparently that's how it came about. You don't get a personal phone call, unfortunately."

Williams' Dear Girl tour is due to take place in autumn and the US superstar will perform in Manchester and London, as well as mainland Europe.

She added: "It will be the biggest venues I've played. I've played the O2 [Arena in London] before [as a guest vocalist for] Rudimental. But to be able to do my own set will be other-worldly."
