Ella Henderson is currently No.1 on the UK iTunes chart.

The singer, who finished sixth on the X Factor in 2012, released her debut single 'Ghost' on Sunday (June 8).

It was co-written by OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder and his golden touch has helped the tune rocket straight to No.1 on the UK iTunes singles chart.

'Ghost' is the lead single from Henderson's debut album 'Chapter One', which is due to be released in the Autumn.

The singer had a Twitter conversation with songwriter Tedder after the tune hit No.1, with the Brit saying:

"Ryan!! @onerepublic We're no1 on itunes! Agggghhh!! Thank you so much for everything. Such an honour to write my debut single with you! E x."

The US star replied: "Ella I just feel lucky to work with someone that can sing as effortlessly as you - this is just the beginning!!!"

Henderson then added: "Just feelin on top of the world right now!! Just thank you for everything! & see u soon! E x."
